Law Society Amendment By-laws 1999

The Council of the Law Society of Tasmania makes the following by-laws under the Legal Profession Act 1993 .

1.   Short title

These by-laws may be cited as the Law Society Amendment By-laws 1999 .

2.   Commencement

These by-laws take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal By-laws

In these by-laws, the Law Society By-laws 1994 are referred to as the Principal By-laws.

4.    Schedule 2 amended (Fees)

Schedule 2 to the Principal By-laws is amended by omitting paragraphs (a) and (b) from item 1 and substituting:

These by-laws were made by the Council of the Law Society of Tasmania at a meeting held on 8 November 1999.

The common seal of the Law Society of Tasmania was affixed on 8 November 1999, in the presence of –

These by-laws amend the Law Society By-laws 1994 by increasing certain fees.
