Local Government Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 1999

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Local Government Act 1993 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Local Government Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 1999 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Local Government Regulations 1994 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Regulation 31 substituted

Regulation 31 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded and the following regulation is substituted:

31.   Service rate

The following are prescribed services for the purposes of section 93 of the Act:
(a) an on-site disposal system for which a permit is issued under section 51 of the Local Government (Building and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1993 ;
(b) a community medical service.

These regulations are administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations amend the Local Government Regulations 1994 by prescribing a community medical service as a service for the purpose of section 93 of the Local Government Act 1993 .
