Vocational Education and Training Amendment (Allowances) Regulations 1999

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Vocational Education and Training Act 1994 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Vocational Education and Training Amendment (Allowances) Regulations 1999 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Vocational Education and Training Regulations 1995 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Schedule 2 amended

Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting paragraphs (a) , (a)(i) , (ii) , (iii) , (iv) , (v) , (vi) , (vii) and (viii) from item 1 and substituting:
 

(a) Intrastate, absence from normal place of residence –

 
 

(i) less than 5 days

$20 each day

 

(ii) 5 days

$100 in total

 

(iii) 6 or 7 days

$120 in total

 

(iv) 8 days

$140 in total

 

(v) 9 days

$160 in total

 

(vi) 10 days

$180 in total

 

(vii) 11 days

$200 in total

 

(viii) 12 days

$220 in total

 

(ix) 13 or 14 days

$240 in total
