Port Companies Regulations 1999
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under section 29 of the Port Companies Act 1997 .

These regulations may be cited as the Port Companies Regulations 1999 .
These regulations are taken to have taken effect on 30 July 1997.
Any legal proceedings instituted or able to be instituted by or against a former board before a court, tribunal or arbitrator before the commencement day may, on or after that day, be continued or instituted by or against the appropriate company.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations provide that certain legal proceedings by or against a former board before the commencement of the Port Companies Act 1997 may be continued or instituted after that commencement by or against the company or subsidiary of the company that replaced that former board.
