Poisons (Prohibited Substances) Amendment Order 1999
I make the following order under section 3 of the Poisons Act 1971 .

This order may be cited as the Poisons (Prohibited Substances) Amendment Order 1999 .
This order takes effect on 19 March 1999.
In this order, the Poisons (Prohibited Substances) Order 1990 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Schedule 1 amended (Prohibited substances)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by omitting items 3 and 4 and substituting the following items:3. Alkoxyamphetamines and substituted alkoxyamphetamines except when separately specified in this Schedule.3A. Alkoxyphenethylamines and substituted alkoxyphenethylamines except when separately specified in this Schedule.4. Alkylthioamphetamines and substituted alkylthioamphetamines except when separately specified in this Schedule.(b) by omitting items 7A and 7B and substituting the following items:7A. 5-(2-aminopropyl)indan and substituted 5-(2-aminopropyl)indans except when separately specified in this Schedule.7B. Benzethedine.7C. Betacetylmethadol.(c) by omitting items 34 and 35 and substituting the following item:34. Harmala alkaloids except in herbs, or preparations, for therapeutic use (a) containing 0.1% or less of harmala alkaloids; or(b) in divided preparations containing 2 mg or less of harmala alkaloids in each recommended daily dose.(d) by omitting item 56 and substituting the following items:55B. 3-methylfentanyl.56. 4-methylthioamphetamine.
