Gaming Control Amendment Regulations 1999

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Gaming Control Act 1993 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Gaming Control Amendment Regulations 1999 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Gaming Control Regulations 1994 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)

Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting after the definition of Act the following definition:
fee unit has the same meaning as in the Fee Units Act 1997 ;

5.    Regulation 4 substituted

Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded and the following regulation is substituted:

The fees specified in Schedule 1 are the maximum fees prescribed for the purposes of the Act.

6.    Schedule 1 substituted

Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is rescinded and the following Schedule is substituted:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations revise and increase the fees for certain applications under the Gaming Control Act 1993 and introduce new fees for –
(a) an application for a renewal of a special employee's licence; and
(b) a replacement of a licence.
