Proclamation under the Water Act 1957
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Rivers and Water Supply Commission, by this my proclamation made under section 26(1) of the Water Act 1957
23 November 1998(a) appoint the district specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be a water district; and(b) name that district the Brittons Swamp Water District; and(c) revoke the proclamation under the Closer Settlement Act 1957 published in the Gazette on 9 November 1960, page 1598; and(d) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
