Plumbing Amendment Regulations 1998
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Local Government (Building and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1993 .

These regulations may be cited as the Plumbing Amendment Regulations 1998 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Plumbing Regulations 1994 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)
Regulation 3(1) of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting the definition of unregisterable relocatable dwelling and substituting the following definition:unregistrable relocatable building means a relocatable building other than a relocatable dwelling that is, or is capable of being, registered under the Traffic Act 1925 ;
5. Regulation 5 amended (Incomplete documentation)
Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "7 days" and substituting "5 days".
6. Regulation 10 amended (Period for issue of permit or refusal)
Regulation 10 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting "28 days" from subregulation (1)(a) and substituting "18 days";(b) by omitting "58 days" from subregulation (2) and substituting "38 days".
7. Regulation 33 amended (Connections to council systems)
Regulation 33(3) of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "unregisterable relocatable dwelling" and "dwelling" and substituting "unregisterable relocatable building" and "building", respectively.
8. Schedule 1 amended (Documents)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from item 5 of Part 1 "unregisterable relocatable dwelling" wherever occurring and substituting "unregisterable relocatable building";(b) by omitting from item 6 of Part 1 "unregisterable relocatable dwelling" twice occurring and substituting "unregisterable relocatable building".

These regulations amend the Plumbing Regulations 1994 by –(a) reducing the time for processing plumbing permits; and(b) substituting the definition of "unregistrable relocatable building".
