Tasmanian State Service (Agencies and Heads of Agencies) Order 1997
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 6 of the Tasmanian State Service Act 1984 .

This order may be cited as the Tasmanian State Service (Agencies and Heads of Agencies) Order 1997 .
This order takes effect on 1 January 1998.
3. Schedule 1 to the Tasmanian State Service Act 1984 amended
Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Tasmanian State Service Act 1984 is amended by inserting the following item in Division 1 after the item relating to the Department of Vocational Education and Training:
TAFE Tasmania
Chief executive officer of TAFE Tasmania
Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

This order is administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the order)
This order amends Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Tasmanian State Service Act 1984 –(a) by inserting TAFE Tasmania as a Government department; and(b) by inserting the office of chief executive officer as Head of that Agency.
