Rail Safety National Law (Tasmania) Amendment Act 2020
An Act to amend the Rail Safety National Law (Tasmania) Act 2012
[Royal Assent 17 November 2020]
Be it enacted by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Rail Safety National Law (Tasmania) Amendment Act 2020 .
This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
In this Act, the Rail Safety National Law (Tasmania) Act 2012 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Section 10 amended (Testing for drugs and alcohol)
The definition of applicable provisions in section 10(1) of the Principal Act is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from paragraph (b) "including" and substituting "excluding";(b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (b) :(ba) section 14 of that Act other than section 14 (1B)(b); and
This Act is repealed on the first anniversary of the day on which it commenced.
