Appropriation (Supplementary Appropriation for 2019-20) Act 2020

An Act for the appropriation of money out of the Public Account for the service of the financial year ending on 30 June 2020 for the purpose of making contributions to each of Division 1, Brand Tasmania, Division 2, Department of Communities Tasmania, Division 3, Department of Education, Division 4, Finance-General, Division 5, Department of Health, Division 6, Department of Justice, Division 7, Ministerial and Parliamentary Support, Division 8, Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management, Division 9, Department of Premier and Cabinet, Division 10, Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment, Division 11, Department of State Growth, Division 12, Tourism Tasmania, and Division 13, Department of Treasury and Finance, of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019

Be it enacted by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1.   Short title

This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (Supplementary Appropriation for 2019-20) Act 2020 .

2.   Commencement

This Act is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2019.

3.   Interpretation

For the purposes of this Act –
Capital Services means –
(a) public works or property required for public purposes; or
(b) a loan authorised by law;
Operating Services means the ordinary annual services of the Government.

4.   Issue and appropriation of $404 889 000

(1)  In respect of the financial year ending on 30 June 2020, the Treasurer may issue the sum of $404 889 000 out of the Public Account.
(2)  The sum specified in subsection (1) is appropriated.

5.   Purposes of appropriation

(1)  The sum of $4 000 is to be applied to Division 1 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Brand Tasmania, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(2)  The sum of $24 868 000 is to be applied to Division 2 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Communities Tasmania, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(3)  The sum of $5 350 000 is to be applied to Division 2 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Communities Tasmania, representing a Capital Services appropriation.
(4)  The sum of $7 700 000 is to be applied to Division 3 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Education, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(5)  The sum of $2 864 000 is to be applied to Division 3 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Education, representing a Capital Services appropriation.
(6)  The sum of $208 536 000 is to be applied to Division 4 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Finance-General, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(7)  The sum of $128 077 000 is to be applied to Division 5 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Health, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(8)  The sum of $2 068 000 is to be applied to Division 5 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Health, representing a Capital Services appropriation.
(9)  The sum of $4 900 000 is to be applied to Division 6 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Justice, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(10)  The sum of $2 260 000 is to be applied to Division 6 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Justice, representing a Capital Services appropriation.
(11)  The sum of $241 000 is to be applied to Division 7 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Ministerial and Parliamentary Support, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(12)  The sum of $1 764 000 is to be applied to Division 8 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(13)  The sum of $1 436 000 is to be applied to Division 9 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Premier and Cabinet, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(14)  The sum of $1 473 000 is to be applied to Division 10 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(15)  The sum of $7 981 000 is to be applied to Division 11 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of State Growth, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(16)  The sum of $3 772 000 is to be applied to Division 11 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of State Growth, representing a Capital Services appropriation.
(17)  The sum of $1 104 000 is to be applied to Division 12 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Tourism Tasmania, representing an Operating Services appropriation.
(18)  The sum of $491 000 is to be applied to Division 13 of Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2019 , Department of Treasury and Finance, representing an Operating Services appropriation.

6.   Expiry

This Act expires on 30 June 2021.
