Civil Liability Amendment Act 2019
An Act to amend the Civil Liability Act 2002
[Royal Assent 8 October 2019]
Be it enacted by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Civil Liability Amendment Act 2019 .
This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
In this Act, the Civil Liability Act 2002 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Section 19 amended (Interpretation)
Section 19 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the definition of recreational activity and substituting the following definition:recreational activity includes any pursuit or activity engaged in for enjoyment, relaxation or leisure.
This Act is repealed on the first anniversary of the day on which it commenced.
