Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2016

An Act for the appropriation of $3 960 194 000 out of the Consolidated Fund for the services of the Government for the financial year ending on 30 June 2017

Be it enacted by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1.   Short title

This Act may be cited as the Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1) 2016 .

2.   Commencement

This Act is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2016.

3.   Issue, application and appropriation of $3 960 194 000

(1)  In respect of the financial year ending on 30 June 2017, the Treasurer may –

(a) issue the sum of $3 960 194 000 out of the Consolidated Fund; and

(b) apply that sum for the services of the Government.

(2)  The sum specified in subsection (1) is appropriated.

4.   Purposes of appropriation

The sum specified in section 3(1)(a) is to be applied for the purposes specified in Schedule 1 .

5.   Expiry of Act

This Act expires on 30 June 2018.
