Nature Conservation Amendment Act 2012
An Act to amend the Nature Conservation Act 2002
[Royal Assent 30 May 2012]
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Nature Conservation Amendment Act 2012 .
This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
In this Act, the Nature Conservation Act 2002 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Section 32A inserted
After section 32 of the Principal Act , the following section is inserted in Part 4:32A. Amendment of Schedules in Wildlife (General) Regulations 2010
(1) The Minister, by order published in the Gazette, may amend Schedules 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 and 7 to the Wildlife (General) Regulations 2010 –(a) by adding the name of an order, family, common name or species; or(b) by amending the name of an order, family, common name or species; or(c) by omitting the name of an order, family, common name or species.(2) An order under subsection (1) is not a statutory rule within the meaning of the Rules Publication Act 1953 .
This Act is repealed on the ninetieth day from the day on which it commences.
