Ida Bay Railway Repeal Act 2001
An Act to repeal the Ida Bay Railway Act 1977
[Royal Assent 26 April 2001]
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Ida Bay Railway Repeal Act 2001 .
This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
In this Act,repealed Act means the Ida Bay Railway Act 1977 .
4. Ida Bay Railway Act 1977 repealed
The Ida Bay Railway Act 1977 is repealed.
On the commencement of this Act (a) a lease granted under the repealed Act (i) is taken to be a lease granted under section 26 of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 ; and(ii) is subject to the same terms and conditions as it was under the repealed Act; and(iii) continues in force for the remainder of the period for which it was granted or renewed; and(b) the Railway Management Act 1935 does not apply in relation to the lease.
Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Primary Industries, Water and Environment; and(b) the department responsible to the Minister for Primary Industries, Water and Environment in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.
