Valuation (Repeal of Regulations Postponement) Act 2000

An Act to postpone the repeal of the Land Valuation Regulations 1972 and the Valuers Registration Regulations 1975

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1.   Short title

This Act may be cited as the Valuation (Repeal of Regulations Postponement) Act 2000 .

2.   Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.

3.   Postponement of repeal of regulations

(1)  The repeal of the Land Valuation Regulations 1972 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2001 is postponed until 1 January 2002.
(2)  The repeal of the Valuers Registration Regulations 1975 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2001 is postponed until 1 January 2002.

4.   Expiry of Act

This Act expires on 2 January 2002.

5.   Administration of Act

Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990  –
(a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Primary Industries, Water and Environment; and
(b) the department responsible to the Minister for Primary Industries, Water and Environment in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.
