Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (Financial Assistance) Amendment Act 1999

An Act to amend the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (Financial Assistance) Act 1987

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1.   Short title

This Act may be cited as the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (Financial Assistance) Amendment Act 1999 .

2.   Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.

3.   Principal Act

In this Act, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (Financial Assistance) Act 1987 is referred to as the Principal Act.

4.    Section 4 amended (State contribution towards support of orchestra)

Section 4(1) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting paragraphs (a) , (b) and (c) and substituting the following paragraphs:

(a) $148 000 in the financial year ending on 30 June 2000;

(b) $148 000 in the financial year ending on 30 June 2001;

(c) $148 000 in the financial year ending on 30 June 2002.
