Fisheries (General and Fees) Regulations 2026

These regulations are administered in the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations, made under the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995  –

(a) prescribe minimum size limits for the abalone fishery; and

(b) prescribe decisions that are subject to review and determinations that are subject to appeal; and

(c) prescribe controls for the taking or possessing of certain species of fish; and

(d) prescribe noxious fish and other miscellaneous matters; and

(e) are made consequent on the repeal of the Fisheries (General and Fees) Regulations 2016 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
