Radiation Protection Regulations 2026

These regulations are administered in the Department of Health.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

(a) for the purposes of the Radiation Protection Act 2005  –

(i) make provision in respect of authorities under the Act; and

(ii) make provision in respect of matters relating to radiation sources and radioactive materials; and

(iii) prescribe certain fees payable under the Act; and

(iv) prescribe infringement notices for offences under the Act and these regulations; and

(v) make provision in respect of miscellaneous matters; and

(b) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Radiation Protection Regulations 2016 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
