EXPLANATORY NOTE

The regulations –(a) prescribe, for the purposes of the Animal Welfare Act 1993 –(i) requirements for ensuring the health and welfare of domestic poultry in certain circumstances; and(ii) infringement notice penalties; and(b) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Animal Welfare (Domestic Poultry) Regulations 2013 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
