EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations –(a) make provision in relation to –(i) applications by organisations for approval as adoption agencies, the appointment of the staff of adoption agencies and the facilities and services to be provided by adoption agencies; and(ii) applications by persons for approval as adoptive parents and the requirements such persons are to meet; and(iii) the forms associated with the adoption process; and(iv) the placement of children with a view to adoption; and(v) the classes of children who are eligible for financial and other assistance in connection with an adoption; and(vi) the fees payable under the Act; and(b) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Adoption Regulations 2006 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
