Property Agents and Land Transactions Regulations 2016

These regulations are administered in the Department of Justice.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

(a) prescribe –

(i) requirements for the keeping, maintenance, auditing and inspection of trust account records; and

(ii) requirements for the investment of trust money; and

(iii) accounting and reporting requirements for the Property Agents Trust; and

(iv) qualifications for certain persons; and

(v) fees payable under the Property Agents and Land Transactions Act 2005 ; and

(b) set out the Code of Conduct for property agents; and

(c) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Property Agents and Land Transactions Regulations 2006 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
