EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations (a) require certain owners of domesticated fowls to vaccinate their fowls against Newcastle disease; and(b) prescribe exposure periods for infection in animals and authorise the sale, or giving away, of certain List B disease-infected animals in certain circumstances; and(c) provide for the keeping of records of artificial breeding and the thermal treatment of fodder; and(d) make provision in respect of the sale, feeding and producing or packaging of certain animal products or certain meal made from animal products; and(e) prohibit the feeding of certain fodder to certain animals; and(f) prescribe the offences under the Animal Health Act 1995 and these regulations in respect of which infringement notices may be issued and the penalties payable in respect of those offences; and(g) provide for other miscellaneous matters; and(h) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Animal Health Regulations 2006 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
