EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations (a) provide for the following:(i) the Institute of Surveyors Tasmania to be responsible for the training, examination and accreditation of persons seeking to establish their competency, or be re-accredited, as land surveyors;(ii) the establishment of a register of candidates;(iii) the qualifications, examinations and training required;(iv) the issue of certificates of competency;(v) the registration of land surveyors;(vi) review by the Minister of decisions of the Surveyor-General;(vii) the form of a survey certificate for land surveys; and(b) prescribe application fees for registration as a surveyor; and(c) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Surveyors Regulations 2003 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
