EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the rule)
These rules amend the Road Rules 2009 by –(a) amending the age, from 4 to 7 years old, at which a passenger is not required to use a child restraint; and(b) requiring a passenger who is less than 7 years of age to wear a seatbelt in certain circumstances where the passenger is exempt from using a child restraint; and(c) amending the approval requirements for certain child restraints; and(d) making other miscellaneous amendments.
