EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations, made under Part 4 of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 –(a) establish a licensing and permit system to provide for the conservation and preservation of wildlife kept in wildlife parks, circuses and other public exhibitions; and(b) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Wildlife Regulations 1999 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
