EXPLANATORY NOTE

These regulations amend the Poisons Regulations 1975 by (a) updating the definition of "Uniform Standard" and a reference to a provision of that standard; and(b) providing, consistently with national immunisation policy, that hospital midwives may administer hepatitis B vaccine to newborn babies in accordance with general orders issued by medical practitioners; and(c) omitting redundant references to veterinary surgeons.
