Proclamation under the Roads and Jetties Act 1935
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 52A of the Roads and Jetties Act 1935
13 February 2024(a) declare the part of the Midland Highway specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be a limited access road; and(b) declare the parts of the Midland Highway specified in Schedule 2 to this proclamation as ceasing to be a limited access road; and(c) amend the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1990, No. 88 by omitting item 6 from Schedule 1 to that proclamation and substituting the following item:

Campbell Town to Conara
(a) That part of the Midland Highway from the northern town boundary of Campbell Town to a point 0.99 kilometres south of its intersection with the Esk Main Road/Conara Road as shown bounded by heavy black lines on Plan No. CPR1855 in the Central Plan Register

(b) That part of the Midland Highway from 0.99 kilometres south of its intersection with the Esk Main Road/Conara Road to a point 1.87 kilometres north of that junction

(d) amend the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1990, No. 88 by omitting item 7 from Schedule 1 to that proclamation and substituting the following item:

Perth to Launceston
(a) That part of the Midland Highway from a point 2.20 kilometres north of its junction with the Leighlands Secondary Road to the roundabout at the southern entrance to Perth

(b) That part of the Midland Highway from, and including, the roundabout at the southern entrance to Perth to a point 1.85 kilometres north of the centre of the overpass structure at Breadalbane, as shown on Plan No. CPR11424, Sheets 1 to 6, in the Central Plan Register

(c) That part of the Midland Highway from a point 1.85 kilometres north of the centre of the overpass structure at Breadalbane to its termination at a point 0.23 kilometres north of Howick Street, Launceston, as shown bounded by heavy black lines on Plan Nos. 1857, 1858, 1859, 1860, 1861 and 1862 in the Central Plan Register
