Gas Pipelines (Pipeline Corridors) Order 2003

I make the following order under section 70B(1) of the Gas Pipelines Act 2000 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Gas Pipelines (Pipeline Corridors) Order 2003 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Interpretation

(1)  In this order,
Act means the Gas Pipelines Act 2000 .
(2)  The Acts Interpretation Act 1931 applies to the interpretation of this order as if it were by-laws.

4.   Planning corridor width

(1)  In this clause,
pipeline means the gas pipeline that –
(a) is referred to in the pipeline licence granted under section 10 of the Act by the Director of Gas to DEI Tasmania Holdings Pty Ltd on 14 August 2002, as amended; and
(b) extends from –
(i) the low-water mark at Five Mile Bluff to the Bell Bay Power Station via the Bell Bay Natural Gas Pressure Reduction Station; and
(ii) the Bell Bay Natural Gas Pressure Reduction Station to a point adjacent to the property occupied by Ecka Granules Australia Pty Ltd; and
(iii) the Bell Bay Natural Gas Pressure Reduction Station to the Rosevale/Westwood Natural Gas Pressure Reduction Station; and
(iv) the Rosevale/Westwood Natural Gas Pressure Reduction Station to the Bridgewater Natural Gas Pressure Reduction Station; and
(v) the Rosevale off-take station to the Gawler main-line valve; and
(vi) the Gawler main-line valve and launcher station to the Australian Bulk Minerals plant via the Port Latta main-line valve and receiver station.
(2)  A planning corridor is declared on either side of the pipeline.
(3)  The width of each planning corridor referred to in subclause (2) is equal to one metre for every millimetre of the outer diameter of the pipeline at the location where the width of the planning corridor is being calculated.
(4)  The width of the planning corridor referred to in subclause (2) is measured –
(a) from the centre-line of the pipeline; and
(b) at a right angle to the pipeline.
