Consolidated Fund Supply Act (No. 2) 2018

An Act to make interim provision for the appropriation of $4 903 000 out of the Consolidated Fund for the service of the financial year ending on 30 June 2019

Be it enacted by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1.   Short title

This Act may be cited as the Consolidated Fund Supply Act (No. 2) 2018 .

2.   Commencement

This Act commences on 1 July 2018.

3.   Issue, application and appropriation of $4 903 000

(1)  In respect of the financial year ending on 30 June 2019, the Treasurer may –
(a) issue the sum of $4 903 000 out of the Consolidated Fund; and
(b) apply that sum for the services of the Parliament and Statutory Offices.
(2)  The sum specified in subsection (1) is appropriated.

4.   Purposes of appropriation

The sum of $4 903 000 is to be applied for the purposes specified in Schedule 1.

5.   Inclusion of expenditure in ordinary Appropriation Act

The Treasurer must incorporate in the estimates of expenditure from the Consolidated Fund, set out in the Bill for the ordinary Appropriation Act for the financial year ending on 30 June 2019, all money issued and applied, or to be issued and applied, under this Act as if that issue and application were to be appropriated afresh by that Act.

6.   Expiry of Act

This Act expires on 30 June 2019.
