Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 19(1) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare
14 December 2009(a) the Crown land specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation, being an area of land at Granton reserved in the class of conservation area*, to be named Murphys Flat Conservation Area; and(b) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
*Note: The area of land at Granton was acquired by the Governor in 2001 for a public purpose as a conservation area within the meaning of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970. On the commencement of the Nature Conservation Act 2002, the area of land was taken to be reserved land in the class of conservation area under that Act.
