Rail Infrastructure Order 2007

I make the following order under section 8(1) of the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Rail Infrastructure Order 2007 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Interpretation

In this order –

Act means the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 .

4.   Designation of Rail Infrastructure Manager

Pacific National (Tasmania) Pty Limited ACN 079 371 305 is designated as Rail Infrastructure Manager for the following parts of the rail network:

(a) the railway specified in item 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act;

(b) that part of the railway specified in item 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act as runs from Bridgewater to the 15.5 kilometre post situated at the western end of the Boyer rail yard;

(c) the railway specified in item 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act;

(d) the railway specified in item 5 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act, excluding that part of the East Tamar junction rail infrastructure as is located between the historic Inveresk rail yard and a point 50 metres south of the centreline of Henry Street, Launceston;

(e) that part of the railway specified in item 6 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act as runs from Western Junction to the 181 kilometre post situated at the western end of the Burnie rail yard.
