Security and Investigations Agents Regulations 2005

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Security and Investigations Agents Act 2002 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Security and Investigations Agents Regulations 2005 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on 1 January 2006.

3.   Interpretation

In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears –
Act means the Security and Investigations Agents Act 2002 .

4.   Infringement offences and penalties

(1)  The offences under the provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 are prescribed as infringement offences.
(2)  The penalty specified in column 2 of Schedule 1 in relation to an infringement offence is the penalty applicable to that offence if the person accepts an infringement notice in relation to it.

5.   Fees

The fees specified in Schedule 2 are payable in respect of the matters specified in that Schedule.

6.   Legislation rescinded

The legislation specified in Schedule 3 is rescinded.
