National Parks and Wildlife Separation (Consequential Amendments) Act 2002

An Act to amend certain Acts consequent on the enactment of the National Parks and Reserves Management Act 2002 and the Nature Conservation Act 2002

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1.   Short title

This Act may be cited as the National Parks and Wildlife Separation (Consequential Amendments) Act 2002 .

2.   Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which the National Parks and Reserves Management Act 2002 commences.

3.   Land Use Planning and Approvals Amendment Act (No. 2) 2001 or Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 amended

(1)  If this Act commences before section 4 of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Amendment Act (No. 2) 2001 commences, that section is amended by omitting "National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970" and substituting "Nature Conservation Act 2002".

(2)  If section 4 of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Amendment Act (No. 2) 2001 commences before this Act commences, section 4(2) of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 is amended by omitting "National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970" and substituting "Nature Conservation Act 2002".

SCHEDULE 1 - Consequential Amendments to Acts

The amendments effected by Section 4 and this Schedule have been incorporated into the authorised version of the appropriate Acts.

The amendments effected by Section 5 and this Schedule have been incorporated into authorised versions of the following Acts and Statutory Rules:

(a) National Parks and Reserves Management Act 2002 ;

(b) National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 ;

(c) Nature Conservation Act 2002 ;

(d) Administrative Arrangements Order (No. 2) 2002 ;

(e) Crown Lands Regulations 2001 ;

(f) Inland Fisheries (Recreational Fishing) Regulations 1999 ;

(g) National Parks and Reserved Land Regulations 1999 ;

(h) Threatened Species Protection Regulations 1996 ;

(i) Traffic (Road Rules) Regulations 1999 ;

(j) Wellington Park Regulations 1999 ;

(k) Wildlife Regulations 1999 .
