Local Government (Kentish Council Election) Order 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 268A(1A) of the Local Government Act 1993 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Local Government (Kentish Council Election) Order 2002 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Interpretation

The Acts Interpretation Act 1931 applies to the interpretation of this order as if it were by-laws.

4.   Postponement of election

The election for councillors of the Kentish Council due to be held in October 2002 is postponed.

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.
