Proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and with the approval of Each House of Parliament, by this my proclamation made under sections 14 and 16 of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 declare –

(a) that the area of land given the name Little Beach Conservation Area and specified in section 17 of, and Schedule 9 to, the Regional Forest Agreement (Land Classification) Act 1998 ceases to be reserved land; and
(b) the Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Little Beach Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(c) that the area of land given the name Low Head Conservation Area and specified in section 17 of, and Schedule 9 to, the Regional Forest Agreement (Land Classification) Act 1998 ceases to be reserved land; and
(d) the Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Low Head Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(e) that the area of land given the name Recherche Bay Nature Recreation Area and specified in section 19 of, and Schedule 10 to, the Regional Forest Agreement (Land Classification) Act 1998 ceases to be reserved land; and
(f) the Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature recreation area and give the name Recherche Bay Nature Recreation Area to that reserved land; and
(g) that the area of land given the name Seymour Conservation Area and specified in section 17 of, and Schedule 9 to, the Regional Forest Agreement (Land Classification) Act 1998 ceases to be reserved land; and
(h) the Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Seymour Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(i) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Areas of land
PART 1 - Little Beach Conservation Area
All that area of land comprising about 65 hectares shown bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5598 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 2 - Low Head Conservation Area
All that area of land comprising about 14.4 hectares shown bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5596 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 3 - Recherche Bay Nature Recreation Area
All that area of land comprising about 317.7 hectares shown bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5599 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 4 - Seymour Conservation Area
All that area of land comprising about 113 hectares shown bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5597 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 4 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
