Registration of Deeds (Repeal of Regulations Postponement) Act 2000
An Act to postpone the repeal of the Registration of Deeds Regulations 1976
[Royal Assent 14 November 2000]
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Registration of Deeds (Repeal of Regulations Postponement) Act 2000 .
This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
3. Postponement of repeal of regulations
The repeal of the Registration of Deeds Regulations 1976 that, but for this Act, was to have been effected on 1 January 2001 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 is postponed until 31 December 2001.
This Act expires on 1 January 2002.
Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 –(a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Primary Industries, Water and Environment; and(b) the department responsible to the Minister for Primary Industries, Water and Environment in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.
