Conveyancing and Law of Property (Fees) Regulations 1999

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Conveyancing and Law of Property Act 1884 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Conveyancing and Law of Property (Fees) Regulations 1999 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the thirtieth day after the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Interpretation

In these regulations –
Act means the Conveyancing and Law of Property Act 1884 ;
Fee units means fee units within the meaning of the Fee Units Act 1997 ;
Recorder means the Recorder of Titles appointed under the Land Titles Act 1980 .

4.   Fees

The fees that are payable to the Recorder under the Act are set out in Schedule 1 .

5.   Expiry

[Regulation 5 Amended by S.R. 2000, No. 52, Applied:21 Jun 2000] These regulations expire on 30 September 2000.

6.   Statutory Rules rescinded

The Statutory Rules specified in Schedule 2 are rescinded.
