Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Tasmania) Regulations 1995

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under section 32 of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Tasmania) Act 1994 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Tasmania) Regulations 1995 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on 15 March 1995.

3.   Eligible law

The following Acts are declared to be eligible laws for the purposes of the definition of "permit" in section 109 of the Agvet Code of Tasmania:

(a) Pesticides Act 1968;

(b) Veterinary Medicines Act 1987.

4.   Laws which have effect despite Code

The Poisons Act 1971 has effect despite the provisions of the Agvet Code of Tasmania.
