Daylight Saving Order 1990

In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3(1A) of the Daylight Saving Act 1968 , I the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following order.

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Daylight Saving Order 1990 .

2.   Tasmanian summer time

The period of time referred to in section 3(1) of the Daylight Saving Act 1968 is hereby varied as follows –
(a) the first period after the commencement of this order shall commence at the hour of 2 a.m. on 28 October 1990 and end at the hour of 2 a.m. on 31 March 1991; and
(b) subsequent periods shall commence at the hour of 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of October in the year 1991 and in each subsequent year and end at the hour of 2 a.m. on the last Sunday of March in the next following year.

3.   Revocation

The Daylight Saving Order 1988 (being Statutory Rules 1988, No. 173) is revoked.
