Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 11(2) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare –

(a) the Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name Borradaile Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and

(b) the Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Central Plateau Conservation Area to that reserved land; and

(c) the Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Central Plateau Conservation Area to that reserved land; and

(d) the Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name Dove River Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and

(e) the Crown land specified in Part 5 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name Dove River Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and

(f) the Crown land specified in Part 6 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name Dove River Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and

(g) the Crown land specified in Part 7 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name February Plains Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and

(h) the Crown land specified in Part 8 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name February Plains Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and

(i) the Crown land specified in Part 9 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of national park and give the name Mole Creek Karst National Park to that reserved land; and

(j) the Crown land specified in Part 10 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of national park and give the name Mole Creek Karst National Park to that reserved land; and

(k) the Crown land specified in Part 11 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Mersey River Conservation Area to that reserved land; and

(l) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Areas of Land

PART 1 - Borradaile Regional Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 420.0 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 10434 on the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 2 - Central Plateau Conservation Area (Part 1)

All that area of land comprising –

(a) about 849.7 hectares, shown as Lot 1; and

(b) about 62.44 hectares, shown as Lot 2; and

(c) about 19.47 hectares, shown as Lot 3 –

bounded by heavy black lines on plan 10436 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 3 - Central Plateau Conservation Area (Part 2)

All that area of land comprising about 3210 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 10438 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 4 - Dove River Regional Reserve (Part 1)

All that area of land comprising about 463.5 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 10431 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 4 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 5 - Dove River Regional Reserve (Part 2)

All that area of land comprising about 279.6 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 10432 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 5 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 6 - Dove River Regional Reserve (Part 3)

All that area of land comprising about 2077 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 10433 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 6 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 7 - February Plains Regional Reserve (Part 1)

All that land comprising about 869.8 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 10435 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 7 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 8 - February Plains Regional Reserve (Part 2)

All that land comprising about 194.9 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 10437 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 8 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 9 - Mole Creek Karst National Park (Part 1)

All that land comprising about 2274 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 11125 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 9 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 10 - Mole Creek Karst National Park (Part 2)

All that land comprising 582.8 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 11126 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 10 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 11 - Mersey River Conservation Area

All that land comprising 76.11 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 11124 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 11 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This proclamation, under the Nature Conservation Act 2002, declares –

(a) certain areas of Crown land to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve; and

(b) certain area of Crown land to be reserved land in the class of conservation area; and

(c) certain areas of Crown land to be reserved land in the class of national park.
