EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations (a) prescribe for the purposes of the Conveyancing Act 2004 (i) the qualifications and experience required to hold a licence under that Act; and(ii) the fee for an application for such a licence; and(iii) the minimum amount of professional indemnity insurance cover required for a conveyancer and the evidence required as proof of that insurance; and(iv) businesses that conveyancers are prohibited from carrying on in addition to their conveyancing business; and(v) rules of conduct to be observed by a conveyancer; and(b) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Conveyancing Regulations 2015 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992.
