EXPLANATORY NOTE

These regulations prescribe, for the purposes of the Disability Rights, Inclusion and Safeguarding Act 2024 –(a) standards that are to apply to the provision, by disability services providers, of supports and services for people with disability; and(b) types, or classes, of physical restraints and punitive approaches as practices or interventions for the purposes of prohibited practice, as defined in section 55(1) of that Act.
