EXPLANATORY NOTE

These regulations prescribe, for the purposes of the Primary Produce Safety Act 2011 –(a) the food safety scheme in respect of dairy products; and(b) that the Tasmanian Dairy Industry Authority is designated to perform certain roles of the Chief Inspector for the purposes of the dairy food safety scheme; and(c) the accreditation requirements in respect of the dairy food safety scheme; and(d) the fees payable in respect of accreditation under the Act; and(e) other miscellaneous matters in relation to dairy products.
