EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order amends the HomeBuilder Grants Act 2020 , to ensure that that Act is consistent with the National Partnership, by –

(a) extending the application of both HomeBuilder schemes under that Act until 31 March 2021; and

(b) reducing the Commonwealth HomeBuilder grant from 1 January 2021 to $15 000; and

(c) extending the period during which relevant construction is required to commence under the Act; and

(d) making other minor legislative changes to reflect the extension of the schemes.
