EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Community Protection (Offender Reporting) Regulations 2016 by –(a) prescribing a police officer of or above the rank of sergeant as an authorised person; and(b) prescribing the Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Government Agency Registration) Act 2016 of New Zealand as a corresponding Act; and(c) prescribing a registration order under that Act as a corresponding offender reporting order; and(d) adding certain new personal details to the personal details listed in section 17(1) of the Community Protection (Offender Reporting) Act 2005 ; and(e) prescribing certain entities for the purposes of section 44B of that Act.
