Proclamation under the Highways Act 1951 and the Roads and Jetties Act 1935

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the proclamation)

(a) notifies the dedication of land as a highway and the boundaries of that land for the purposes of section 3 of the Highways Act 1951 ; and

(b) for the purposes of section 7 of the Roads and Jetties Act 1935  –

(i) declares a portion of Colebrook Main Road to be a subsidiary road that is classified as a main road; and

(ii) declares a certain portion of a road as ceasing to be a subsidiary road; and

(iii) amends an earlier proclamation (S.R. 1970, No. 67) to substitute a new definition for Colebrook Main Road; and

(iv) revokes an earlier proclamation (S.R 1992, No. 139) insofar as it relates to Colebrook Main Road.
