EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Victims of Crime Assistance Regulations 2010 –(a) by prescribing $10 000 as the maximum total amount that may be awarded under section 4(1A) of the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 1976 ; and(b) so that an application for an award for funeral expenses in respect of the death of a primary victim includes details of the funeral expenses actually and reasonably incurred, or reasonably likely to be incurred, by a person in relation to that death.
