EXPLANATORY NOTE

These rules amend the Road Rules 2009 by –(a) providing an exemption, from certain road rules, for motorists who are overtaking or passing the rider of a bicycle; and(b) allowing a driver, in certain circumstances, to move from one marked lane to another marked lane by crossing a continuous dividing line.
