EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order specifies, in respect of audit panels established in accordance with under section 85 of the Local Government Act 1993 –(a) the matters that are to be considered by an audit panel in reviews held for the purposes of section 85A of that Act; and(b) the constitution of an audit panel; and(c) the procedure to be followed by an audit panel in performing its functions and conducting its meetings; and(d) the responsibilities of the councils, general managers and other persons in relation to an audit panel.
